Washdown toilets: wall hung toilet or back to wall toilet

A washdown toilet distinguishes from a wash-out toilet in so far that the washdown toilet has the excrements directly fallen into the water with only a low odour development. A disadvantage towards the wash-out toilet is that very often the water splashes. In order to avoid this, a variation of the washdown toilet was developed, the so-called cascade toilet. Splashing water will be restrained due to a specially designed piece of ceramics.
