These products are perfect for small bathrooms
The bathroom of the Germans is on average of 9 square meters. That may seem generous for a bathroom at first. However, the average also means that not everyone can enjoy this space and be content with less space. Small or unfavorable rooms force us to compromise and renounce. The problem: especially in the bathroom, we do not want to compromise - particularly not in terms of design and comfort. The good news: you do not have to. Here you can find out which products turn small bathrooms into a true oasis of well-being without renouncing from the essentials.
Small washbasin made of thin ceramic with shelf: You cannot get around a small sink in a mini bath. If it is big enough to wash their hands and if necessary, their hair, most of us feel that little sinks are not disturbing. Nonetheless, there are a few tricks to get the most out of small wash basin. Laufen wash basins made of sapphire ceramic or Villeroy & Boch wash basins made of TitanCeram are characterized by their thin walls. And that has its advantages, because the thinner the material is, the larger the inner basin will be. Another plus is the wash basin with shelf. A large part of the wash basins anyway has a border, so why not hang a few centimeters and use them wisely? Whether on the left, on the right, or on both sides, wash basin shelves do not only look good, they also provide space for all that is needed for daily body care. In combination with a vanity unit including intelligent room layout, you have plenty of storage space at the wash area.
Shower bathtubs: Small bathrooms often ask us the question: shower or bath? Why to decide, if you can have both? Shower baths, for example, are designed so that the shower area is generously cut in width. At the same time, the bathtub is long enough to allow relaxed bathing moments. Duravit, too, has dedicated itself to the optimal use of bath and shower. As a walk-in shower and bath in one, the Duravit Shower + Bath shower bath combines modern bathroom design and optimal use of space. A door allows a comfortable entry into the tub.
Floor-level shower surfaces: Floor-level or floor-level shower trays have the advantage that they cannot take up space at height and make small bathrooms look open. In addition, they are customizable, compared to high shower trays. This is how they adapt to every room dimension.
Compact wall-hung WCs: wall-hung WCs are ideal for small bathrooms. By leaving room between them and the floor, the bathroom appears lighter and larger. At the same time, wall-hung WCs are less massive than stand-alone toilets because of their lack of footing. But not only on the height of the toilet should be respected, but also on the depth. Not infrequently, every centimeter count in small bathrooms. Many sanitary manufacturers have therefore included short-throw compact toilets in their range. These score with a low projection and you save useful space in the bathroom.
Built-in-parts WC modules: Everything that disappears behind the wall, takes up no space. This motto is also pursued by the Emco Asis flush-mounted modules. In these you can make toilet brush, toilet paper and trash can disappear, so that the area around the toilet is always free and space for other remains.
